Night Fishing by Glenn Parsons
Glenn R. Parsons retired from academia in 2022 after spending 36 years as a Professor of Biology at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Parsons is an internationally recognized ocean-researcher and has published many scientific papers and books on fishes. His primary focus was on shark biology and he has studied those animals extensively in the Atlantic and Gulf.
Having published a novella, Cherokee Summer, several years ago, he decided to begin writing fiction again. His first novel after retiring, is a seat-of-your-pants, bio-science thriller entitled Night Fishing. Sharks, hurricanes, terrorists, pirate treasure, exploding people, and Mayan lore, make Night Fishing a fast-paced, thoughtful, feel-good read with a subtle (not preachy) conservation message.
